What has happened in January...

I can't believe that I haven't blogged in so long. I truly am sorry. Holy cow... lets see... what has happened since the last time I blogged?

My brother closed on his house and will start his first day of work in Fort Smith on March 1st. Exciting right!?!

Things are rockin and rollin in the children's ministry. Ms. Donna has come on board with the staff as our secretary/ preschool director. I'm super excited about that because I know she will be able to do a good job there and it will free my wife up to help me plan ahead for the JourneyKIDS as a whole. It is going to be great! We also have started a leadership team who are basically coming along my wife and I to take JourneyKIDS to a whole new level in 2008. Our goal this year at Journey Church is to bring order out of chaos and that is what we are doing in the children's ministry of Journey Church.

Outreach-wise... our new food distribution program called "SHARE" has blown up! We had a HUGE success on our first distribution this past week. Thank you to all who made it happen. I want to give a special thank you to Ms. Patty Kidd who has really done a tremendous job at not only the transition of Ms. Sheryl taking a break, but also the transition of completely changing the program we work through. Great Job Ms. Patty... you are awesome!

Masters Commission is going great! God has been doing some pretty cool things within our group. We just got back from our regional retreat and it was awesome! some great relationships were built between the students and other students as well as between my wife and I and other directors. God is doing some cool things within our program that many people can't even see. I'm just honored that God has given my wife and I the opportunity to be stewards over it. These students are precious. God's going to do some great things through them.

Lets see... is there anything else... oh, I've done some more work on my house. I finally put my transition pieces in for my wood floor and Jarred Day helped me get ALL my outlets switched out from baige to white. They look great! It has really given me a sense of accomplishment. I am just about to finish the trim and then comes the thing I have feared the most. I HAVE TO INSTALL MY DOORS. They have been sitting in my carport for about 3 months. It has taken that long for me to come to this conclusion... "they are not going to install themselves!" Just a word of advise to all, never buy slab doors to save a few hundred dollars. It is too stressful. I think I finally got all the tools I need and now I just need to get the guts to do it. Pray for me as I venture into this project. Hopefully, by the time my brother moves into town, I can proudly have my doors hung and all will be well. :)
